Uzbekistan will raise the tax burden on sellers operating in marketplaces.

This is stated in the message from the country's Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The Tax Burden for Marketplace Sellers in Uzbekistan Will Increase

The Ministry of Economy and Finance plans to maintain the main tax rates for 2025 at their current levels: the profit tax will remain at 15%, VAT and personal income tax at 12%, turnover tax at 4%, property tax at 1.5%, and the water resource tax for irrigating agricultural lands will be 100 sums per cubic meter, as indicated in the agency's message.

For businesses operating through electronic platforms, the profit tax rate will increase from 7.5% to 10%, and the turnover tax will rise from 2% to 3%. Additionally, the fixed turnover tax rates introduced in 2023 will be raised, and their validity will end on January 1, 2026.

Fixed tax rates for individual entrepreneurs are set to increase by 10%, with the option to establish minimum and maximum values based on regions and types of activities. District and city authorities will be empowered to adjust rates, taking into account the economic conditions of the area.

Individual entrepreneurs with an annual income of up to 100 million sums will have the option to choose between the standard personal income tax rate of 12% or a reduced rate of 50% of the fixed rate for individual entrepreneurs. The social tax for workers in markets and shopping complexes will decrease to 1 basic calculation amount.

Moreover, taxes on real estate and vehicles owned by individuals and legal entities will increase by 10%, and the minimum rental rates for properties will rise by 10-12%. VAT exemptions for passenger transportation and sales of goods by organizations for disabled individuals will cease to be effective in 2025.
