The State Institution "Uzbekconcert" is introducing new regulations for artists planning to tour abroad. As per the information released by the organization's press service on October 28, performers are required to notify the agency in writing about their international performances in advance.
This requirement is based on Article 21 of the Law "On Cultural Activities and Cultural Organizations" and a government decree that outlines the licensing procedure.
"Uzbekconcert" emphasized that currently many artists are disregarding existing norms by organizing overseas tours without notifying the relevant authorities. The agency pointed out that such concerts will be considered illegal.
Failure to comply with the new rules will result in serious consequences for the artists, potentially leading to the premature cancellation of their licenses.
It is worth noting that earlier, the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan proposed an initiative to evaluate concert programs for their alignment with national traditions and levels of patriotism.
