The press service of the Unified Portal of Interactive State Services has released an informational message.
It is reported that the portal my.gov.uz has introduced a service for "Issuing protective orders for women who have suffered from harassment and violence." Now, women who have become victims of violence or harassment can submit an online application for a protective order. It is noted that the application will be reviewed within 24 hours after it reaches the prevention inspector.
The provision of a protective order aims to safeguard the victim and imposes a series of restrictions on the perpetrator. In particular, they will be prohibited from:
1. Committing harassment and violence;
2. Contacting the victim;
3. Being in the same room as the victim;
4. Possessing and carrying weapons.
Additionally, the protective order places obligations on the offender to provide treatment and compensate for the material and moral harm caused to the victim.
Previously, we reported that in the Yashnabad district, three men were punished for harassing a girl while intoxicated.
