The match between Uzbek fighter Khavasbek Asadullaev and Kazakh boxer Ablaykhan Zhusupov in the under-71 kilograms category took place on December 11 in Thailand as part of the Asian Championship. The Uzbek athlete emerged victorious in the bout.

However, the Boxing Federation of Kazakhstan later contested the fight's results, claiming that Asadullaev bit his opponent on the shoulder during the match.

The Asian Boxing Confederation acknowledged that the action of the Uzbek boxer constituted a serious violation and subsequently disqualified him.

According to the rules, when a boxer is disqualified for any reason, their opponent is declared the winner of the match. Consequently, the gold medal was awarded to Kazakh boxer Ablaykhan Zhusupov.

It is worth noting that the men's national team of Uzbekistan secured first place in the medal standings at the Asian Boxing Championship in Thailand.
