On the final day of the competition, Uzbek athletes secured 8 medals. In the para-athletics events, Bunyod Khalmuradov and Barotjon Bakhtiyorov earned gold medals, while Odilbek Nasriddinov and Abdurashid Komilov took silver, and Abdurakhmon Bakhtiyorov claimed a bronze medal. In the team event of para powerlifting, representatives from Uzbekistan won 3 golds.
Following the World Ability Sport-2024 competitions, which saw around 500 athletes from 18 countries participating, the Uzbekistan team achieved a total of 72 medals – 55 gold, 9 silver, and 8 bronze, securing 1st place in the overall team standings.
It is worth noting that at the XVII Summer Paralympics in Paris, the Uzbek delegation achieved the best results in their history of participation in the games.
Additionally, in September, a para-cyclist from Uzbekistan became the first in the country's history to win a bronze medal at the World Road Racing Championships in Zurich.
